I repeatedly stress that this and sites such as this are neither intended nor appropriate for making diagnoses. The diagnostic process is a very in-depth and structured one in which the complaints of the patient are but a mere starting point. To suggest a reasonable thesis based on a couple of statements from a questioner, and without an opportunity to examine and test would be a disservice, even when made by an experience doctor. Sites such as this are appropriate for discussing generalities regarding already known diagnoses and general commentary regarding treatment choices. There is no responsible way that a specific and individual case can be meaningfully addressed with any realistic expectations that it might be applied to any individual's situation. |
