Sorry it has taken so long to say hello. Welcome. Genesis alone has over a thousand years of history in the first 12 chapters. That is amazing isn't it? There is so much to be learned in that very first book. Romans also covers a lot of topics basic to understanding. It was the last book Paul wrote during the Acts period.
I love to study and discuss the Word. There is always something new to discover. I am glad you are winning the battle against alcohol. I have a good friend who is also a recovering alcoholic. He lost two marriages because of it and nearly lost his life, but is a kind and free person now. Congratulations to you.
If you are Southern Baptist, does that mean you are from the South? I am from Tennessee.
