Dear Anonymous
Very sorry- obviously there was a serious communication issue and I apologize for that.
For most transfers there are embryos that are not strong enough for freezing but still viable. We will tell you the number that are being watched. Most of those embryos will not be frozen - only about 20% will be frozen out of this group since these embryos must meet high standards in order to survive freeze-thaw. IT IS MORE NORMAL NOT TO HAVE FREEZING THAN TO HAVE FREEZING OF EXCESS EMBRYOS.
Perhaps there was some confusion about embryos that were being evaluated for possible cryo vs embryos that were actually frozen. Again - we would like to review your particular situation so that we can improve things for all of our patients.
Please email me at schen@sbivf.com so we can review your chart and figure out how to make certain this will not happen again.
Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
