Good Afternoon,
My name is Lauren Reinhard and I am an Associate Producer under Kaj Larsen, an OEF veteran and VFT member. We work at NowThis News, one of the largest online news sites in the world.
We are currently covering a story that emerged out of the Charlottesville protests last week about members of the white nationalists wearing 82nd Airborne hats. I am looking for veterans of the 82nd who can film a video op-ed about the history and values of the division. We are essentially looking for a 2-3 minute video op-ed that talks about the storied history of the 82nd in fighting fascism and how racism does not have any place in the division.
The piece would be distributed on the NowThis network which receives millions of views. It could be shot in our LA studios and we would edit it here. It would require about an hour of your time for shooting, but is supporting a great cause.
