I injured my foot over three weeks ago. While walking on a slightly irregular grassy area, my foot (arch) twisted slightly. Initially, I wasn't able to walk without more sharp pain, but after a few minutes, was able to hobble slowly. During the last few weeks, the injury seems to start resolving, then I reinjure the foot when walking on uneven surfaces (ground, carpet, snow, etc.) The discomfort has spread to my ankle, and has caused a slight amount of swelling to the whole foot. My foot has become a bit stiff. I find that if I keep most pressure on the side and heel of my foot, I can continue to hobble around. If I stand totally flat and flex my foot normally, I risk the slight twisting to the arch resulting in more pain. Any ideas, suggestions? |
