I have recently been informed that a current owner wants to sub-divide several lots before putting them up for sale. I believe one lot on the corner of Gardner Point and Rivercliff Drive has already been sub-divided into two lots.
I believe that neither our covenants nor our by-laws specifically address the issue of lot subdivision here at Riverwalk, and I don't know whether our Board of Directors has recently ruled on this issue, however, it appears to me that the owner has been given permission to proceed with his plan.
I believe that our community ought to be concerned about lot sub-division because if this action is not well-regulated, it could potentially negatively impact our quality of life here at Riverwalk, as well as decrease property values. For example, perhaps there ought to be a limit to the extent of division, provided the Board actually permits sub-division of lots.
For these reasons, a special owner association meeting should be held as soon as possible to openly discuss this serious issue and to make certain that lot division is even permitted here at Riverwalk. |
