I am seeking information regarding my biological maternal grandfather.
I have been doing a great deal of research, and have had my autosomal DNA tested at Ancestry, transferred to Family Tree DNA, and I also have uploaded information over to Gedmatch. I have a GEDCOM at Gedmatch as well.
It is very puzzling and I have hit a deadlock. I am discovering *no* DNA matches whatsoever on my mother's father's line. Her maiden name was Gibson.
I also heard rumors over the years that it was possible that the grandfather I knew was not actually biologically related to me. Nothing was ever verified. The research and documentation I have discovered shows that my grandmother married at age 17 in 1928, six months before my mother was born. It appears that it may have been a bit of a rush.
Some family resources say that my grandmother may have been involved with a man surname Scott. She grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, and resided in the Cleveland area her entire life.
If anyone has any insight or particular knowledge as to how I go forward with this research, I would be very grateful. It would be wonderful if I could put together the pieces of this particular family and genetic puzzle. Completing this circle has become very important to me.
