I am searching for my births father's name. My sister and I were born on May 8, 1925 to a Anna Mae Potts who died 16 months later. We have no idea who our father was, what he did for a living, we know nothing. We were adopted in 1925 to a Elizabeth Seewald, we don't know if it was a "legal" adoption, or a verbal one. Since our mom died we had no one to ask any questions to. However, a friend of mine that does genealogy was searching on our behalf and by accident came across a post from " Pennsylvania Genealogy" on Facebook, stating something about Veil adoptees", and she continues to search. We are approaching another birthday soon and of course, we know that our father is dead, but we've wanted to know his name after so many years. People have taken information to the grave and all we want is to take our father's name with us. Thank you for your interest. We don't know where we were born but our adoptive mom lived in Williamsport and our mom was unwed. Thank you again |
