My father was born with the name Robert (last name unknown) around 9-24-1958 in Lowenstein Germany. He was adopted by R Lee Huffman, an American Amry Lieutenant, and his wife Rosemarie Nickel, a German woman from Berlin. They lived in Stuttgart. It is believed the birth father was also an American serviceman. No hopspital, adoption agency, or birth family information is known. His name was changed to Wayne in December of 1959 before the family moved to the US. We think the birth father's family tried to visit him in the early 1960's while they lived in Maryland.
The family also adopted a toddler daughter in Germany about 9 months earlier, and may have come through the same agency. Her birth name is Gertrud Helene Niggemann. her birthday is 12-21-1957, born in Frankfurt (possibly). We have only a passport.
I'm searching for answers, for family, for anything to give my father and aunt!
