Hi all,
if you were born in Germny and adopted by US military people I may be able to help you thanks to my long-time experience and good connections to authorities. The German law does not allow to search for children given up for adoption, but on the other hand, adoptees get any help they need to find their birth families.
The first step is always to apply for a certified copy from the birth register in the office for civil registration (Standesamt)in the town where you were born. That certificate will reveal your name given by your birth mother, her name and address back then and her date and place of birth. Sometimes a biological father is mentioned also. And, of course, there is info on your adoption.
If you want me to help you, feel free to get back to me.
I do not charge for my service, of course. But if you have to apply for certified copies from any register (birth, marriage, death) you will, of course, have to pay the fees
yourself.
I'm lokking forward to hearing from you.
