point out to him, Acts 2 is a prophecy for the Jewish people only. Paul quoted from Malachi and joel, there wasnt a gentile present. A gentile would not have been allowed, its Pentacost, a Jewish Holiday. Also Acts 2 has nothing to do with salvation ie: living with God forever upon death, istantly or after a period of sleep, (which ever one you want) for the sake of your conversation of course. More often than not Christians struggle with this concept. In other words All the Jewish people present at acts 2 were ALREADY believers or had attained Life. The only thing that was being offered to them, was that prophesied. |
