it really have to depend on your current condition.Hopefully the antibiotic given will work on your problem and also this has to comply with foot hygiene and compliance on medication.
If a surgery is required, the best person to discuss this issue is your attending doctor. HE/she will then suggest what kind of surgery will be suitable for you (if necessary) and again, impending on your condition as well. One must understand that every surgery in regardless whether is a small or big has its own risks.
