Do you mean a trail running shoe? I don't know of trial shoes. A trail running shoe is a shoe designed for running, but with a sole to cope with rough terrain, and a certain amount of waterproofing. It would not be good for track work. A very light weight shoe would be best for track work, but it depends how serious you are. A decent standard running shoe would be fine for track work, unless you are very serious, and would be cheaper.
