Hello - when I wake up in the morning, I have a piercing type pain in my foot that almost makes walking difficult. The pain is located in the outside of my left foot, right near the joint of the smallest toe. The pain usually subsides within about 10 minutes and stays away for most of the day, but the next morning it is there again. There is no noticible swelling in the area or discolorations. This has been going on for a couple of months - any suggestions on what could be occuring to bring on a piercing type pain at morning time that subsides after a short time and stays away for most of the day (except today)?
Thanks for your assistance!
