My question is regarding PTS and rate conversion through PTS. Currently I am on my third look in PTS. My second look, I selected that I would re-enlist in rate but would be willing to cross rate. The rate I chose to cross rate to was NC. I was recently told that I could not cross rate to NC through PTS because I did not have a documented years worth of collateral duty as a Divisional Career Counselor. I understand that if I wanted to do an official cross rate, not through PTS, then I would need to have that done. I am unsure if the same process applies if I am trying to do a rate conversion through PTS. It doesn't make sense to me that PTS would offer NC and not allow sailors to cross rate unless they have the criteria met. If I am incorrect please let me know.
