I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your question.
I got a recommendation back from a friend of mine in your area and he said that he takes his boards to John Taylor at the Little House of Repairs in Huntington Beach.
If you google "surfboard restoration", you'll get some other names of people and companies in S. California who specialize in restoring surfboards.
Please let me know who you end up having do the work and how it came out. Thanks.
