Years ago on the Cast Bullets forum I started following amongst other things a series of posts about an open source bullet/brass collator/feeder. After moving to the burbs years ago now (5) I'm finally getting my reloading back on track and shooting more regularly, I bought an upgrade to my old Lee Loadmaster being that it's now obsolete and a legacy only parts availability. I settled on a full Hornady LnL progressive ammo plant. It's awesome but the collator are lackluster. So... I bought a Creality Ender 3 V2 Neo. 3D printer. I'm currently working my way through all the prints for the Ammomike et al development 3D printable open source bullet/brass feeder. I've been casting 9mm and a few others for years, the choke point was always sizing and although I used to shoot twice a week in South Philly I've not been producing here in the burbs until now. Berry's 124 grain plated are great and all but I've been producing thousands of the same in powder coated cast in wheel weight lead, I'm going to buy a lee APP. Anyone interested in either this collator project or 3D printing in general or even reloading in general feel free to contact me.
My latest project is casting pure lead projectiles so I can replicate an authentic paper and silk fabric black powder cartridge for my recently acquired Chassepot.
I'm not black powder certified at the range could somebody please point me in the right direction for this.
Also I had the opportunity to shoot last year a Kibler Custom flintlock and thank you again for creating that interest |
