What a wild night grooming. After expecting maybe 1-3" of new snow, we recieved 4-5" in very short period starting at 4 pm. The snow came at an exceptional pace and was mixed with periods of rain, sleet, hail. We enjoyed the company of some very strong thunder and lightening.The strong lightening was something that we have never experienced while we were grooming. The reflection off the snow blinding a few times because it was so intense. As of this writing I am not sure how the trails that we did groom actually came. We did not do our usual runs because the rain made it very difficult to run the snow through the groomer. 51 was groomed, the LVRT from Goodfella's to CA111, and 234. Next groom will probably be Monday. |
