I am sorry. Sorry for your loss and the way you are being treated. Crime victims are SUPPOSE to be treated with dignity and respect as per the Crime Victims Bill of Rights. Problem is that PA is one of 13 states that has not amended our constitution to guarantee that crime victims ARE treated with dignity and respect.
I do want you to know that we (survivors of homicide) do care and feel your pain. Many others do not receive call backs or answers and it's very hurtful.
There is also a victims rights booklet that should have been handed to a family member shortly after your brother's murder. This booklet has information concerning your rights, and the victims compensation program which can help with medical bills, couseling, funeral expenses, etc. One must file within 2 years of the crime to be eligible for these benefits.
