I installed Snapstone in my bathroom and also used a wet saw for cutting the tiles. I think what Art was talking about was the same problem I had not with the tile itself but with the plastic webbing beneath it that make it a "locking tile". Every time my cut lined up with one of the plastic lines under the tile, the saw shredded the plastic and it jammed up the blade and stopped it from turning. Yes I had more than enough water. The only solution I found was to take the tile partway out and and let the saw kick some of the guck out and then refeed it. Sometimes had to do it multiple times. Also the residue plastic falls in the water which then refeeds into the saw and compounds the problem. I had a really small floor to do so not much of a problem but on a large project could get really tedious. Love the floor and how it looks but that was a big problem for me too. |
