I carefully read all about how to pick a puppy. I shook keys made noises watched the litter. He never got scared when the other dogs would run away he would stay there not fearing the noise or what ever he saw. When they would all eat I saw 4 pups try to push him out of the way "Zeus" being bigger pushed them out of the way and ate his food though not showing aggression.
He now seems timid, although he is getting better. He is whining alot less. We are keeping more and more time in the kennel so that he may get used to it and it is working. I hope he will sleep tonight.
He will not really walk on a leash as soon as he feels pressure he starts fighting it. Sometimes he will walk ahead and then its ok but he starts pulling a bit (he is only 8 weeks 15lbs) is this normal?
I believe that he is a quality dog. As far as training for now just sit stay and lay down or should I be going further? He has a very good prey instinct he really goes after the toy or whatever you put to test him. I am possibly looking at having him bite trained any suggestions? Thank you for all the info. |
