Hi Patricia,

Thank you so much for possibly offering to help. No obligation at all, but here is what I know...

I am actually working on this for a close friend who was adopted. She really wants to know this part of her biological tree. I have found many other branches, but not this one. I have been working on ancestry.com and other sites towards answering this question, but have had no success. I have listed most everything I know to this point, but it seems no one I've contacted thus far knows anything about Bernice Carmelitta's or her brother Clarence Eugene's origins (birth parents). I am not even sure they are blood brother and sister, but they appear suddenly (at ages 15 and 12 respectively) with Earle Thorwell Enyeart and Rosetta Enyeart on the 1930 census with their first and middle names reversed to how they referred to themselves later in life. At the time of this census they were living in Marsland, Dawes, Nebraska (also near where she is buried). It does state that they are the adopted children of the head of the household, but as you might know records don't state the relationship to the mother. They were not listed with the couple on the 1910 or 1920 census, so I would guess that they were adopted between 1921 and 1930 and unrelated to both parents (unless they were adopted earlier and just not living with the couple in 1920 by chance). I even checked a bit into siblings of Earle Enyeart to see if perhaps they took in children who lost their parents (ie Uncle Earle took them in), but didn't notice anything that fit.

I have little (and I'm not sure correct) information on Rosetta Enyeart. I have only copied information (with no sources) that her maiden name was Sage. Unfortunately, to add to the confusion, I have found that another Rosetta married another Earl Enyeart in the same midwest area. Sigh...

I have reached only dead ends and would appreciate any help you might be willing to offer. I will provide any information that I have that might help.

Thank you,
J.Cole
