I received two DMs (Direct Messages) on Facebook in regard to Pine Cove Tavern. These are the messages from DM1 and DM2. Both patrons of this bar do not want to be identified as they feel that they will be ridiculed by other patrons at the bar. I will identify them only as DM1 and DM2.

The Old Man of Pine Cove Tavern
DM1: Paul, I have been following you for quite a long time and I think you should check out Pine Cove Tavern. One night when I went to this bar, I went and used the bathroom. As I was relieving myself, I felt a tapping on my shoulder. I turned around and there was an elderly man standing behind me. I was angry that this guy couldn't wait his turn and as soon as I got done, I turned around and he was nowhere in sight! It was a ghost. If you have a chance, please check this bar out and bring Wish Fire (aka Deanna Jaxine Stinson) your psychic medium to see what she can pick up on. Special Note: DM1 describes the entity as being 5'4", elderly, wrinkles on his face, tattered jacket, old blue jeans, didn't see the shoes he was wearing.

Coverall Boy of Eggplant Alley
DM2: As I was leaving Pine Cove Tavern, I was walking up the street and as I got to Eggplant Alley, a little boy in coveralls ran up to me and started tugging on my pants leg. It must have been about 11pm at night. The little boy asked if I had any spare change. As I was pulling out a dollar bill, he vanished right before my eyes! I think the little boy has something to do with the Pine Cove Tavern, because one night when I was standing outside of the Pine Cove Tavern smoking a cigarette, I felt something tugging on my pants, but didn't see anything. I think this Coverall Boy has something to do with the tavern, but I am not sure. My friend is going to contact you with his experience at the tavern, something that happened to him in the bathroom. (DM2 is referring to DM1).

Of course, with this kind of report about the tavern, Wish Fire and I, made it a point to schedule a visit to this tavern. I found some history about the tavern on the internet, see below:

"Pine Cove Tavern was started way back in 1953 by Dave Mahan. He came up with the idea for the name “Pine Cove” from the wooden interior and cabin style feel of the bar. This second story bar is surrounded with windows and made super cozy with a built-in fireplace. The Pine Cove has always been well loved for its free popcorn and the old school Pabst on tap. The atmosphere is a cross between sports bar–with 11 televisions, darts, Golden Tee, jukebox, and bar games–and friendly watering hole because of beloved regulars and down-to-earth employees. There is such a variety of unique beers on tap, you’ll be sure to find one you love. This neighborhood bar has excellent daily drink specials, several televisions, open mic nights, karaoke nights, ultimate bar challenge night, battle of the bands night, and several other promotional events throughout the year. There’s friendly staff and no cover for any events."

3/2/2023 Thursday: Wish Fire and I, made a special stop at the tavern. I talked with the bartender and told him I received some reports that the tavern is haunted. His reply..."I'm not saying!" Then he also told me that some ghost hunting group came in with their equipment and didn't pick up on anything, they did not find any evidence of the paranormal. I did some EVP sessions in the restroom and along the stairwell and did not get any EVPs. Wish Fire envisioned that a teddy bear was once thrown into the fireplace and for some reason this was significant, but she couldn't get any reading explaining why this incident was significant. As I went to Eggplant Alley looking for the Coverall Boy of Eggplant Alley, I did 12 EVP sessions and finally captured an EVP in which sounds like a little boy saying I was an "ugly boy". I attempted to do 4 more EVP sessions afterwards and didn't get anything else. You can hear that EVP at my youtube channel.

Conclusion:
I didn't find any paranormal activity at the tavern, but I do believe there is something going on at this tavern and Wish Fire seems to have picked up on some residual energy. Eggplant Alley is definitely haunted, the EVP of the little boy saying I am an ugly boy was insulting, but what the hey, I have been called worse. Sigh.

Special Note: Deanna ordered the cherry vodka at Pine Cove Tavern and loved it. We brought HPI Canine Paranormal Investigators: Story and Champagne with us. When I got the EVP at Eggplant Alley, the dogs went crazy afterwards. I believe they sensed something.
