When Deanna and I, went on vacation to Panama City, Panama, we made a stop in Belize. The soul purpose of our vacation was to do some ghost hunting at El Castillo Pyramid at Xunantunich in Belize and the ruins at Panama City, Panama. I was intrigued with the stories about the ghost called the Stone Woman or also known as the Maiden of the Rock. Sightings of the stone woman begin in 1892 when several people living on the site saw a woman, dressed in white, ascending the stairs of the temple-pyramid at the site, known as “El Castillo”, and disappearing into a stone wall. Deanna being a psychic medium felt her energy and images of a sacrifice being conducted on top of the pyramid came flooding into Deanna's mind. Some of the locals believe that the Stone Woman volunteered to be sacrificed and on her own walked to the top of the pyramid to the sacrificial altar. Many locals claim that when they encounter the Stone Woman, as they approach her, she will disappear. The ruins display six plazas and more than 25 palaces and temples. These palaces and temples are all preserved with a square mile high on a plateau overseeing the Mopan River. The mighty pyramid El Castillo is Belize second tallest structure. The ruins in this area have not been inhabited for over a thousand years.

A local tourist named Juan Castillo says he encountered the Stone Woman and her eyes were glowing red. Juan says when he first encountered the Stone Woman, she was bent over as if she was looking for something, then she turned around and had a frown on her face and her eyes were piercing and glowing red. Juan said he almost fainted and had a hard time understanding what he was seeing. Juan froze and couldn't move. The Stone Woman stared at Juan for a bit and then disappeared. Juan says he has talked with many locals who claim they encountered the Stone Woman and a tour group from Canada encountered the Stone Woman during sundown.

Let's look at some of the history of the El Castillo Pyramid. The settlement of Xunantunich flourished between 200 AD and most of its citizens died out in 900 AD. It is said that the citizens were victims of a deadly earthquake. A Michigan tour group said that they didn't see the Stone Woman, but they saw a group of bare-chested warriors walking up the pyramid with their spears. The Michigan tour group thought that they were looking at a group of actors. There were 9 bare-chested men and as they came close to reaching the top, they all disappeared. So, with this report, it would seem that the pyramid is very haunted. Deanna picked up the energy of many dead souls at the pyramids. We learned that in July 19, 2016, a team led by Jaime Awe discovered an untouched burial chamber attached to a larger building. It is considered to be one of the largest Mayan burial chambers found within the last 100 years. The chamber contained the corpse of a male. His age is anywhere from 20 to 30 years old. The chamber also contained a number of ceramic vessels, obsidian knives, jade pearls, animal bones and some other artifacts made of stone. Osteologists believe the man was athletic and quite muscular when he died. He was possibly a well-known warrior. The word "Xunantunich" means "Maiden of the Rock" and yes, it was named after the Stone Woman.

During our visit at the pyramid, I was able to obtain one EVP. The EVP sounded like a man yelling in pain. During the time I was capturing this EVP, Deanna felt a hand squeeze her arm. When we left the pyramid and got back on the tour bus, we got into a conversation with the tour bus driver and he told us that the pyramid is not only haunted by ghosts, but it's also visited by UFOs. Marcus Hernandez the tour bus guide said that he has heard many stories of strange lights zipping around the pyramid and that his father once saw a pyramid shaped craft hovering over the pyramid. Marcus believes that Xunantunich is on a leyline, which attracts UFOs. UFO enthusiasts believe that leylines are energy sources for UFOs. Sort of like a gas station for UFOs. The UFOs absorb the energy from the leylines. Marcus also believes that El Castillo Pyramid is a conduit for UFO portal activity. I would have to agree with Marcus, there is more going on at Xunantunich than beautiful stone structures.

Our last stop was Panama City, Panama. The only ghost hunting we did in Panama City was at the El Cano. El Caño is one of Panama's most important archaeological sites. Over the course of the last century archaeologists have been discovering several pre-Columbian burial sites at this location that are believed to date between 700-1000 AD. Deanna felt a lot of spirit activity at this location, but we were unsuccessful in obtaining any EVPs. There were a couple of areas that our EMF reader started lighting up, but that was about it. We spent the rest of our trip dining out and taking in the city. We met a waitress name Maria Garcia and she said while she was visiting El Cano she heard a woman crying. She followed the sound of crying and came upon a girl that looked like she was 10 years old. Maria placed her hand on the girl's shoulder to comfort her and Maria's hand went right through the girl. The girl then vanished in front of Maria's eyes. Maria told us if we were to camp out at El Cano (the ruins) we would definitely encounter some ghosts. Maria says that El Cano is very haunted.
