Hi, I have a 13 year old son who I have always wondered if he had something going on as far as his health. He has had quite a few problems since birth so it has always been one thing or another, so I am always left to question what may be wrong. When he was in pre school I had a very thin son and it seemed like overnight I had a different son as far as his physical size. You can look at his school picture that was about a year apart and he was a different child. The drs. always tell me for him to lose weight, he is active and does have an appetite, but it just didn't seem right. I have showed the picture but they don't seem to see what I see. He has developed stretch marks, not as wide as some of the pictures I have seen, he has developed acanthosis nigrican (dark markings on his neck,underarms, groin area, his elbows, knuckles and even his eyelids). He has been through so much in his life I always hate putting him through unneccesary things. I also hate trying to play the dr to the drs.He has the full round face and neck and under his chin. Very dry patches that itch in his hair and extreme anxiety which I have had to put him on antidepresant and anxiety medication. I am just a mom search to see if my son has something more wrong than just typical weight gain. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
