Wines need to be at the U of H by Thursday

Hope your harvest has gone well. It was a hot sunny year. Very different from last year and all the rain.

I am the owner of Stout Vineyards in the Texas Hill Country, growing Syrah grapes, now in our 9th year.
I am also a member of the Houston Food and Beverage managers Association and help organize this judging.

The new writer at the Houston Chronicle, Dale Robertson, will publish the winners in his column in October during Texas Wine Month.

There is No Fee to enter your wines. 2 bottles of each wine will be needed for the judging.

Please review the entry form that is attached.

The Houston Food and Beverage Managers Association is hosting a wine judging at the Hilton School on the University of Houston Campus next Friday.
The judging panels consist of at least one retail, restaurant and one knowledgeable consumer on each panel.

This judging is the only one in Texas, that I know of, that is for Texas wines only other than the State Fair of Texas .

The wines entered must be made from at least 75% Texas fruit.

Please help us keep Texas wine in the public eye

Thanks for your consideration......... Guy
