There is some discrepancy between what the pictures show and what I was told over the phone...
The cutter they sell (now?) is a separate piece on an arm that you would run first so that the forces of the collection unit & the cutter don't fight each other. I think they got rid of the one pictured because it ran on diesel engine and they want the whole unit to be "green" now.
The scenario that Scott Baker and I discussed was to have the cutter person in a separate small rowboat with the Jenson Lake Mower (or similar) go in front of the Weedo person so you could collect as soon as they are cut. The Jenson mower is cheaper than the type that Weedo quoted and appears to be more versatile as it doesn't weigh 500 lbs. It is fully electric also.
I would think that we could come up with a disposal solution if everyone gets involved. These bags would dry out and be only a couple of pounds of dry material in a few short days. I will keep researching possible local uses for these and let you know my findings.
