My name is Tim and as a boy, I lived in a small town in Ky. The town had an airport where Ashland Oil kept their corporate planes there. When I was a boy in the 60s, Ashland Oil owned a DC-3 and I was trying to locate it's present whereabouts. All I remember is that it still had the Piedmont paint scheme on it(pacemaker fleet?) and it had the coverings over most of the wheel struts. I've narrowed my search down to about 20 planes from the Piedmont historical assoc. but I'm not sure how to narrow my search any further. If anyone has any knowledge of this plane or suggestions to help me further my search, I would appreciate it. Thank you for you time. Tim |
