I might add that typically when you lay out a room for a tile installation you try to balance the cuts that occur at the walls on either side of the room. When doing so most times the tiles at the wall must be cut of course, and this will automatically eliminate the tabs. Maybe the off-fall piece can be used elsewhere when the tabs of the off-fall are alowed to remain in tact.
