Hello,
Could you explain to me exactly what the Lisfranc injury is please? Also, as I am aware you couldn't possibly make a diagnosis on my situation over the internet, would you at least offer me a direction one might have to go in? I saw an orthopedic doctor today for an injury I incurred 2 months ago. He said he thinks it's a Lisfranc injury but because I didn't seek medical attention for it after it occured, there isn't much treatment they can offer me at this time. I have been put into a boot for a month. My question is, since I have read that most who have the Lisfranc injury has had surgery immediately, is there an option for surgery when I waited 2 months to seek treatment? Just for clarification, the reason I waited is because I thought the noise I heard was a popping of the knuckle type of noise. At any rate, for folks who have or may have the Lisfranc injury but did not seek immediate medical attention, is there surgery down the road? Or would correction of the problem now just be the boot and other non surgery options? |
