I was diagnosed with a neuroma about 9 mos. ago. I have had two steriod injections that helped for a few months each. After the second injection I noticed a loss of color in my skin at the injection site radiating up toward my leg. I showed the area my podiatrist and he said that I shouldnt have another injection. Since then nothing has relieved the pain from the neuroma. I wear custom orthotics that seem to only make it worse. Ice and massage seem to help for a very short period of time. My PD had suggested surgery. I work on an automobile assembly line and I'm in constant excruciating pain from standing all day on my feet. How long is the recovery? and how long before I could comfortably stand all day at a job like mine?
