Hey Steve,

I'd be glad to share some things with you.

I was lucky enough to get a 10 foot Gold Standard a few months ago over here in Jersey...so glad to have gotten it!
With volan glass this is by far the heaviest board I own...
but other than carrying it around, the weight is good...especially in bumpier conditions. The rails are a little more pinched and that combined with the extra weight causes the rails to dig a little easier...a minor adjustment when you set the rail...

Anyway I'm a 200 lb. man and I can spend some time on the nose even in the smaller waves...which we see plenty of out here on the East Coast...The blended concave is a nice feature on this board plus the tail rocker all help to hold the nose...but it's really board length...

Despite the weight, this board turns just fine...I can cut back and easily swing the nose around to set up for the next section...hope this helps,
