I am unaware of any fungal or even viral infections who's incubation period is anything like as short as two days. Some local bacterial infections may present in that short amount of time, but not one which would be disseminated that quickly to various areas of the body. So, in my view, associating the cause of your problem, if it is indeed an infectious process, with a pedicure is likely without merit.

It sounds more like a constitutional or allergic reaction to me. What was the dermatologist's diagnosis?

Since most states limit the practice of a podiatrist to the feet or sometimes the lower extremity, and since your symptoms are not restricted to those areas, you need to see an M.D. or D.O. as their licenses allows their scope of practice to include the entire body.
