Sharon,
I have had the same problem for years and tried everything under the sun. From what I have read, I am pretty sure it is athlete's foot. Usually you think of athlete's foot as being that itch and burn between the toes, but this is definitely different. I have read that athlete's foot can manifest itself all over the foot as a dry and scaley condition. My feet are ugly from it and I don't let anyone see my feet. With continuous, and I mean continuous, treatment with athlete's foot products I do get improvement but then it worsens when I stop. However, there is another product that I am thrilled with. It is called Flexitol. I found it at my local drugstore in the foot product section. It comes in a box with a before and after picture. When I saw the before picture I knew this stuff was for me. It is great!! I finally was able to wear sandals--big thrill for me! The label says it "contains 25% chemically synthesized urea in a highly concentrated moisturizing and emollient base." You must try this!! |
