I would have to assume that what you meant by stating that you had your corns removed was some sort of non-surgical treatment where the corn was either trimmed away or a chemical of some sort was placed in contact with the corn tissue to "burn" it away. Assuming that the same pressure (usually from the shoe)is continued unmitigated, the corn will always return. Surgery is routinely necessary for a permanent correction. I would judge by your complaint that your skin is at least moderately pigmented, and that you had some sort of chemical treatment. Such discoloration as you report is common when chemicals are employed on the skin of persons of color, and although there may be improvement over time, I know of nothing which can be applied to the skin which will predictably return it completely to its former color. |
