I am looking for any information as to what I am to expect with this injury.. I fell the 1st week of January and went to the ER for xrays. They stated that it was a foot strain and to take it easy. This past monday the VA took another look due to bruising and swelling as well as foot malformation. I was just told that it was indeed a Jones fracture with a rather large chunk of bone "floating" My question is how would they deal with this since it has been a lasped time for treatment due to misdiagnosis in January. All the information I found via internet shows for a basic jones fracture and not with any "pizza slice" bone seperated/floating to boot. Does this hinder recovery or treatment? Please respond with any information youd like to share. Thank you!
