About 5 years ago I started having a pain in my right heel. I thought I was getting a plantar's wart and went to my doctor. He said the problem was tendonitis and that I needed to wear shoes or boots with a higher heel. I switched to wearing western style boots and have not had any problems since. Occasionally I need to wear a regular shoe and all shoes now seem to have some type of padded insole. My problem now is that whenever I try to wear any shoe with a padded insole it feels like I have a piece of coat hanger under my left heel. I have tried on at least 50 different pairs of shoes with padding and they are all the same. I have looked at the shoes and can find no reason for this. There is nothing in the shoe or padding to cause it and it is not my sock, so it must have something to do with my foot. What would cause this and what can I do to remedy it?
