Hi. I'm a 20 year old college student and I try to work out at least 3 times a week. I usually try to run on the treadmill, do cardio classes, etc. For the last year, whenever I walk fast (such as when I am running late to class), run, or do something like jumping jacks, the bottom up my foot hurts so severly that it makes me stop what I'm doing. The pain usually starts along the side of my foot (where it almost feels like I'm running on bone alone) and then it spreads across the whole bottom of my foot. I have tried buying more comfortable shoes made with arches but these shoes just make the pain more severe. I'm frustrated because its interfering with my workouts and I just don't know what to do. Does anyone know what this could be? Should I go see a doctor? I'm afraid they might just tell me I need padded shoes or something but that doesn't seem to help...
Thanks! |
