Hi! I had bunion surgery on my left foot almost four months ago. X-rays indicate that bone has healed and screw looks good. Problem is that I have pain that runs on the inside of my foot. Specifically the soft area right under where the bunion was and ball of foot. I have been going to physical therapy which hasn't helped and my podiatrist gave me a cortisone shot three days ago to try to break up scar tissue. That hasn't helped either. He seems to think scar tissue is pressing on a nerve. It mostly hurts when I have my weight on it, doens't hurt so much when not on feet.

I am at a loss as to what to do. Any recommendations of what could be causing this? Also how do I find someone who can help me pinpoint what is going on? Would an MRI be helpful in determining where pain is coming from. I feel like everyone has just been guessing and waiting to see if it will just go away.

Thanks!

Chris
