Although "cold feet" is a very common and often benign complaint, if your feet are actually cold to the touch, rather than your simply perceiving them to be cold, and especially if there are color changes, you should see a vascular specialist. In addition, whatever occasioned your quadriplegia may have damaged your adjacent sympathetic ganglia, and may be involved in an adverse circulatory situation. Restless leg syndrome, long-suspected by many to be a condition invented by the pharmaceutical industry, has very recently had some real medical science backup, and may well not be the scam it was once thought to be. See your neurosurgeon/neurologist, your internist and a vascular specialist. Unless it is simply benign cold feet, it is probably not within the purview of podiatry. |
