Without a hands-on examination, it would be impossible to say with certainty, but you seem to be describing situations generally consistent with problems with the venous return in the lower extremities, perhaps associated with varicose veins and/or fluid retention. Such problems are common with those who stand or sit for long periods of time, but often in such cases walking, due to the milking action of the lower extremity muscles will assist the deep venous return. Elevation of the lower extremities and properly applied elastic support hose may also be helpful in such cases. But numbness is not generally associated with the problem I describe. I would recommend that you consult a vascular specialist and perhaps a neurologist and an internist before attempting anything that I have mentioned, as they were based entirely on assumptions which may or may not be the case, and as something much more serious, such as congestive heart failure or other serious illness might be underlying these problems. Diagnosis always should come before treatment.
