When walking, I have pain on the outside of the foot that starts in the area of the back of the heel and extends to about the middle of the foot(arch area). It is also painful to put any weight on the heels when my feet are propped up. I did see a podiatrist who told me it was an inflamed nerve. He gave me cortisone shots in the area, and also a prescription to take, and told me to wear nothing but tennis shoes (soft support). The medicine helped for a while, but although I have worn nothing but tennis shoes, the pain is back. Does anyone have any experience with the same thing, and any ideas?
