Dear "Patient,"
At IRMS, embryos are evaluated on multiple parameters by skilled embryologists who do not assign a “grade” to the embryos. This may differ from other centers as there is no standard by which all labs operate. Each center has adopted their own system of choosing embryos for transfer. Please keep in mind that the embryos chosen for transfer are always the best available in the group. Finally, there are a few more things to think about with regard to evaluating embryos. 1. It is very subjective, between labs and individuals. 2. Systems differ between laboratories. 3. The stress that may be created by placing embryo grades on a number scale may not be relevant to a particular cycle. In other words, sometimes poorly developing embryos result in pregnancy and sometimes beautifully developing embryos result in no pregnancy. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible chance of getting pregnant with as little stress as possible.
Hope this helps and Good luck!
Best regards,
Debbra Keegan |
