* found info below on 2 different websites -- wondering your thoughts or concrete evidence on this issue w/ regard to fertility treatments and women exposed to higher estrogen possibly causing cancer (in the near or distant future) -- heard this specifically on dr. oz as well. There must be some risks involved w/ fertility meds and which ones are less risky?? thanks in advance.

"What about ovarian cancer? Pregnancy and use of birth-control pills have both been associated with a lower risk of ovarian cancer, possibly because suppressing ovulation helps stave off the disease. That, in turn has raised the question of whether drugs stimulating the ovaries to release multiple eggs at once might potentially raise the risk of ovarian cancer."

"Fertility drugs stimulate the ovaries, causing estrogen levels in the body to increase. Because high estrogen levels are linked to breast cancer risk, it has been suggested that the use of fertility drugs might also increase risk. However, most studies, including a recent meta-analysis of 12 studies on the fertility drug clomiphene (Clomid) and 22 studies on other types of fertility drugs found no link to breast cancer [498-503].
At this time, the use of fertility drugs does not appear to increase breast cancer risk, but studies with longer-term data are needed to confirm these findings."
