Hello all-

I'm happy to say that board #2699 has ended up in my hands. I live in the SF bay area. I bought it for a reasonable price from a decent fellow through craigslist.

The board's in decent condition: dinged enough to ride it without having to worry about it (it's that first ding on a pristine board that's the heartbreaker). It's a usable/working artifact! I'm stoked to learn some surf technique on a classic shape like this (as opposed to restoring, reselling, wallhanging). I loved reading Tom's note from 5/30/06.

I'll post some pics soon. I wish those images in the original post still worked to compare. The fin on this board seems unique, it's all-fiberglass -- not wood. Was this common on this model? Other models too?

I would get a kick out of seeing this board's birth certificate too!
