Hello,I hope someone can help me, i have 2 questions.... my father Antonio Figueroa was a member of the 508th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, he was a 22yr Army vet, served in Korea and 3 tours in Vietnam, i have tried unsuccessfully to apply for the Spina Bifida VA benefit. I have been unable to prove that my father was in Vietnam prior to my birth. I have his records, but a few of the dates and his deployment are blacked out, if ANYONE knew or knows my father and can vouch or prove that my father was in Vietnam prior to Oct. 12 1967 i would greatly appreciate your help!!! Also, my father had a distinct tattoo on his left upper-arm, out of the 42 men in his unit, 40 got this tattoo, prior to his death in Sept. '07, he said that there were 2 men besides him that were still alive with this tattoo, the tattoo was of a baby paratrooper, a VERY skinny soldier on all fours with a pacifier in his mouth, combat boots, helmet, parachute safety pinned to a red diaper, with 508 on top and USA underneath.
