Hi David,

You have it correct. Metallic spinners are OK on the rifle range, but only at the 100 yard line, and only for .22 LR, rim-fire. The .22 LR projectile pretty much splatters on impact, but you still get to hear that satisfying steel ring!
Like our silhouette league used to say, "Shoot Steel - have fun!"
