William R. Davies William R. Davies of Croydon passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was 78 years old. He was born in Philadelphia and had been a resident of Croydon for the last 44 years. Bill enjoyed deep sea fishing and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. He was a lifetime member of Holmesburg Fish & Game, and was an electrician with PECO for 33 years. Bill will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane (Fitzgerald). He is also survived by his loving children, Jennifer Labor (John), Dawn McMahon, William Davies (Sixta), Maire Bietz and Robert Davies; his brother, John Davies; his brother-in-law, Irvin Rotert; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Adam and Harry Davies, Marie Rotert and Gerald Faunce. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal will be held in Resurrection Cemetery.
