yes, i have retired it to the top of my kitchen cabinets. the lid is the only thing that doesn't have the leeching. The only things I actually use in my collection are bowls, plates and coffee cups and I've never used any of them in a microwave. I hate it that the bean started doing that because it's a beautiful specimen, no crazing, glaze skips or cracks. Just the annoying white powder that appears overnight after it's been cleaned. If anyone has this please don't use it.
