It was natures year this time out with a bumper crop of blue berries, raspberries, Asian pears, mountain ash, and pin cherries. we were faced with an immense challenge. The bears were there and eating the bait but they were very good at avoiding the end of the hunters barrel. I want to thank all the hunters that saw bears but didn't give in to the urge to try the bad shot. with a total of 20 hunters we had 7 bears harvested this year with some over 300lbs and one with some brown mixed in with the black so it should make for a nice rug.We had many nights where just about every one on stand had a story of being surrounded by bears but just not having the shot. With a total of over 25 bears being seen it was just to hard to beat the food mother nature had to offer this year and so we have come to the decision that the hunt will have to be moved next year into September 8th-15th, 15th-22nd no berries left that time of year but you will need some warm clothes.
